Miley Cyrus joins RuPaul's Drag Race as a special guest for season 11

#RuPaulsDragRace  # MileyCyrus  #Rupaul The  RuPaul’s Drag Race  season 11 premiere is shaping up to be a wild  hoedown throwdown  for the  15 competing queens . Pop star Miley Cyrus announced Tuesday she will join the  Drag Race  family as a special guest for the upcoming Feb. 28 bow, which marks the show’s third consecutive season opener fronted by a major music diva after  Lady Gaga  and  Christina Aguilera  helped kick off seasons 9 and 10, respectively. A video teaser for the episode shows Cyrus strutting down the runway before asking: “Are you freaking out? Because I’m freaking out!” A network press release elaborates on Cyrus’ role, indicating she’ll go undercover in the Werk Room to spy on the cast as they prepare for their first challenge: creating signature lewks from materials that once belonged to former  Drag Race  girls. Pearl Claims She Was Banned from 'RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars' in Retribution for Interview Comments

Last week, season seven “Drag Race” runner-up Pearl unintentionally stirred a few pots when she confided to Hey Qween that RuPaul had told her “nothing you say matters unless that camera is rolling.” Pearl now claims that the comments spun off into “incredibly overly dramatized and exaggerated” headlines saying that she’d “dragged” RuPaul, exposing Mama Ru as an elitist who doesn’t care about the up-and-coming queens, when her intent was simply to explain why she’d been aloof on the show. Pearl did use the phrase “so Hollywood, rotted, and gross” (see the clip here): We were filming a segment, just kind of chatting, bantering together. Then the camera went down for a moment, and I turned to RuPaul and said, ‘Oh my god, I just wanna say thank you so much, like, it’s such an honor to be here, such a pleasure to meet you,’ just giving her everything I ever wanted to say. She turned to me and said, ‘Nothing you say matters unless that camera is rolling.’ That broke my spirit, and t...

See RuPaul’s Drag Race queen Shangela as Lady Gaga’s drag mother in A Star Is Born

From Halle -loo to Hollywood, three-time RuPaul’s Drag Race eliminee Shangela is sashaying proof you don’t need a crown to hone a royal strut. She made a name for herself in 2011, popping out of a Tiffany box and into the reality competition show’s third cast of competing queens, among which she’d ultimately finish in sixth place. Now, nearly a decade later, the 36-year-old is about to pop off at the box office at the top of her game with a scene-stealing role as the drag mother to Lady Gaga’s bar-singing budding superstar, Ally, in Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut A Star Is Born .  ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Shangela, it’s so great to speak with you. We  can’t get rid of you! SHANGELA:  Baby, I’m back again! That’s what I always do: I come back. I just keep popping up everywhere, honey. But no one’s complaining. You’re at the top of your game on this huge tour and starring in this huge film with  lots of Oscar buzz , so I think I speak for everyone who was with ...

RuPaul’s Drag Race: 15 Queens Rumored To Return For All-Stars (And 5 Who Never Will)

2018 was a very busy year for  RuPaul’s Drag Race   fans. In January,  Drag Race: All-Stars 3  aired, featuring fan favorites such as Trixie Mattel, Shangela, Kennedy Davenport, Aja, and BenDeLaCreme. Ultimately, the crown went to Trixie, in a controversial finale that fueled the anger among many fans. Then,  Drag Race  season 10 started immediately after, in March, featuring what was perhaps the strongest lineup of queens the show has ever seen. In the end, Aquaria was crowned the winner, defeating runner-ups Eureka O’Hara, Asia O’Hara, and Kameron Michaels. While there are still no release dates for  Drag Race  season 11 and  All-Stars 4 , both seasons have already been green-lit by VH1. Moreover, according to various sources, both seasons are being shot this summer, and have tentative release dates for early 2019. After ten years of  RuPaul’s Drag Race , the franchise has a seemingly endless lineup of queens to choose from and ...
