Country legend Tanya Tucker , Finally wins her Grammy.

#62ndAnnualGrammyAwards, #Grammys, #TanyaTucker, #CountryMusic,  It was a great night for her, but Tanya Tucker doesn't think the  Grammy Awards  showed country music the respect it deserves. The 61-year-old singer-songwriter said she was 'ticked' at how the award ceremony relegated all of its country awards to the pre-broadcast ceremony, according to  The New York Post . Despite being shuffled off the broadcast, she emerged triumphant with her first two Grammy wins in a nearly 50-year career. The singer sounded dispirited about having her genre barred from the televised production. 'We deserve to be on national television just like everybody else,' she said.  'Not because of me — it's just not right, and we need to change that. I love to sing all kinds of music but country music will always be my first love. That will always be my real b**** with the Grammys.' The otherwise triumphant night included a win for Best Country Al

Taylor Swift skipped the Grammys because they couldn’t guarantee she’d win

#TaylorSwift #62ndAnnualGrammyAwards #Grammys Music insiders say the real reason  Taylor Swift  didn’t go to the  Grammys  is they wouldn’t guarantee she’d win Song of the Year. Multiple sources have confirmed to Page Six that Swift’s team talked to show bigwigs a few days before the live event and said that Swift would only attend and perform if she was to win a big Grammy. But Swift’s team was told the winners are not known to those planning the show, and they would not bend the rules for her. “[Her team] called and wanted to be assured that she would win the Grammy. And while it wasn’t an explicit demand, they certainly were fishing to find out if Taylor was a winner. It was understood in the conversation that if she’s not winning, she’s not coming to the Grammys,” one insider said. Another music insider said, “It’s widely known in the industry that [Swift’s team] called to find out if she was getting a Grammy, they wouldn’t tell her, so she didn’t go. It’s not uncommon

Usher, Sheila E. and FKA Twigs Work to Make Prince Proud With Their Grammys Tribute

#62ndAnnualGrammyAwards, #Grammys, #Prince, #Usher, #SheilaE, #FKAtwigs, Good news, guys: Usher's still got the moves. And we're super into this Prince tribute performance. #Grammys pic.twitter.com/kKJC2gz8gf — E! News (@enews) January 27, 2020 Given his own unbridled sensuality, unbuttoned blouses and love of guitar riffs, hopefully,  Prince  would have approved of  Usher , Sheila E. and  FKA Twigs  paying tribute to his oeuvre at Sunday night’s  Grammy Awards , complete with intricate pole dancing and lingerie as outerwear. Of course, if Prince had been alive, it feels like he would have wanted FKA Twigs to sing even a little bit, given his support of female performers and all. Still, Usher gave his best to “Little Red Corvette” and “Kiss” while the  Magdelene   artist literally danced circles around him, and there’s no way Prince wouldn’t have at least enjoyed the profound horniness of it all. Update:  According to her Twitter account,

Sean 'Diddy' Combs Puts Recording Academy on Notice: 'You've Got 365 Days to Get This Sh-t Together'

#SeanCombs #Diddy #RecordingAcademy #Grammys When  Sean “Diddy” Combs  accepted the Salute to Industry Icons Award at the Clive Davis and Recording Academy’s Pre-Grammy Gala last evening (Jan. 25), he brought the elephant in the room—the broiling controversy surrounding the Academy—front and center. Catching everyone in the Beverly Hilton Hotel ballroom by surprise, he threw down his own gauntlet to the Academy on behalf of artists and other music industry creatives: “You’ve got 365 days’ notice to get this sh-t together.” The admonishment came in the last six minutes of Combs’ 40-minute speech after he’d accepted the award from the Recording Academy’s board chairman and interim president/CEO Harvey Mason Jr. Standing before a diverse audience that included  Beyoncé ,  Jay-Z , Jimmy Iovine,  Keith Urban ,  Joni Mitchell ,  Dua Lipa ,  Cardi B ,  Migos ,  Janet Jackson , Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi and other members of the Academy’s board of tr

See Lil Nas X Perform ‘Old Town Road’ With BTS, Diplo, Nas at 2020 Grammys

#LilNasX  #BTS  #Diplo #Nas  #62ndAnnualGrammyAwards #Grammys  #BillyRayCyrus #MasonRamsey Lil Nas X  capped off his blockbuster debut year with a star-studded, genre-crossing performance of “Old Town Road,” featuring many of the artists —  BTS , Diplo,  Billy Ray Cyrus , and Mason Ramsey — who had appeared on the seemingly endless list of remixes of the song throughout 2019. Opening by strumming the song’s  Nine Inch Nails riff  while reclining on a couch, Lil  Nas  X then handed off the hit to BTS for “Seoul Town Road,” which BTS’ RM had debuted with Lil Nas X in a remix earlier this year. Next up: Diplo and viral yodeling star Mason Ramsey, who countrified “Old Town Road” before Billy Ray Cyrus appeared for what seemed to be the finale. It wasn’t. Early 2000s rapper Nas popped up in a white suit to join Lil Nas X and take the outsized production to its conclusion. The “Old Town Road” collaboration marked the first Grammy performances for both BTS and Mason Ramse
