The Psych films are continuations of the detective series which ended after eight seasons in 2014. Created by Steve Franks, Psych follows Shawn Spencer (James Roday), a man with an uncanny ability to observe and deduct. Putting his skills to the test, Shawn frequently calls in tips to the police, which typically just leads to more trouble. That is, until he has no choice but to convince those around him that he's psychic. Also starring Dule Hill as Shawn’s childhood best friend and business partner, as well as Timothy Omundson and Maggie Lawson, the series was given a made-for-TV movie in 2017.
