BURNITUP! Janet Jackson (feat. Missy Elliott) / Presented By Tobias Ellehammer (Watch)

#JanetJackson  #MissyElliott  #TobiasEllehammer #BURNITUP #ThatsHowIBURNITUP #Dance I wanted to create a project that would bring people together and deliver the message of the importance of having a versatile and open mindset. We should really all try to stay versatile and support each other. Let's appreciate how different we all are and grow together.  Learning from each other's gifts and differences. It's not about what style you do. It's about the love for dance that we all share. I wanna give a massive thanks to all the people involved that took time out of their schedules to help deliver the message. The amount of talent in this video is beyond any of my expectations and I feel very honored. Enjoy. Song: Janet Jackson - BURNITUP! (feat. Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation 1814” The album envisioned a post-racial utopia founded on the power of groove

#JanetJackson #JimmyJam #RhythmNation1814 #TerryLewis   When Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation 1814” was released, in 1989, I was a gangly nine-year-old, and still figuring out how my limbs moved. The album worked on me physically—it taught me things about my body—before I could make any sense of its themes. Back then, I took weekly piano lessons (I was terrible), and dutifully sang in my school’s chorus (also terrible).  Listening to “Rhythm Nation 1814” in my bedroom with the door closed was the first time I realized that music could actually animate a person, taking full hold of the body and yielding a second, even more beautiful thing: dance. Lyrically, Jackson was exploring the idea that the right rhythm can intoxicate and control us, and, eventually, unite us as living, breathing, flesh-and-bone humans. To understand or harness that power, you had to be ready to move. This year, Jackson has reappeared in public view: she is on the ballot for induction into the Rock and R

Janet Jackson Earns Milestone 20th No. 1 on Dance Club Songs Chart With 'Made for Now'

Miss Jackson's collab with Daddy Yankee is her first leader since 2010. Janet Jackson, with Daddy Yankee, jumps to her 20th career leader on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart (dated Oct. 20) with "Made for Now" (2-1). The R&B-leaning original was remixed by Dirty Disco, Eric Kupper and Dirty Werk, among others. "Made" is Yankee's first topper. It's his second top 10 and third chart hit, following "Despacito" (with Luis Fonsi and featuring Justin Bieber; No. 8, July 2017) and "Azukita" (with Steve Aoki, Play-N-Skillz and Elvis Crespo; No. 48, April 2018). "Made" is Jackson's 40th chart entry and 34th top 10. It's also her second shared No. 1, following "Scream," with brother Michael, in 1995. Jackson is the fourth act in the chart's 42-year history to amass at least 20 No. 1s, following Madonna (46), Rihanna (32) and Beyoncé (22). "Made" is Jackson's first topper in close t
