Apple's iPhone XS Has A Serious Problem

I’ve said it before: what  Apple   ’s iPhone XS ( details ) and iPhone XS Max ( details ) get right,  they get very right indeed . But it’s now clear  their biggest weakness  is not just  about saving money  (and making the  iPhone XR look good ), it’s connected a fundamental flaw that may require a recall… In short: many of Apple’s new iPhones refuse to charge. The news comes following a flurry of customer complaints across Apple Support Communities, Reddit, MacRumors forums, Twitter and YouTube. And YouTube’s most popular tech channel has now  shown off  how widespread this is. Speaking to me ahead of publishing, Lewis Hilsenteger - aka Unbox Therapy - told me of “hundreds” of posts detailing a phenomenon whereby the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max won’t charge if they are plugged into a wall charger when in standby. Moreover, some of the phones become frozen and have to be reset. Curious about how widespread this is, Hilsenteger attained eight iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max mode

Roswell, New Mexico Comic-Con® 2018 Teaser Trailer | The CW

Roswell, New Mexico is coming to the CW at midseason. Roswell, New Mexico takes the romantic sci-fi structure of the 1999 WB series Roswell and updates it for 2018 (or 2019, which is probably when the show will premiere). It stars Grey's Anatomy's Jeanine Mason as Liz Ortecho, a biomedical researcher, and daughter of undocumented immigrants who move back to Roswell and rekindles her relationship with her high school love Max (The Originals' Nathan Parsons). The catch is that Max is an alien who crash-landed in Roswell in 1947. Everything You Need to Know About The CW's Roswell Reboot The trailer promises forbidden romance of the Twilight variety. And it looks like Liz is going to find out Max is an alien sooner rather than later, since she's going to want to know how she got resurrected after being shot in the heart. (This happened in the original series, too, so the reboot is staying true to the source material.) By  Liam Mathews  |  Jul 21, 2018

Will Smith bungee jumped into the Grand Canyon , and livestreamed it

Will Smith went full vlogger and bungee jumped into the Grand Canyon.   The four-time Grammy winner and man  Newsweek  once  declared "Hollywood's Most Powerful Actor" has picked up a new hobby: YouTubing. He's vlogged about his  date with a robot ,  calling the international space station , and recently celebrated a YouTube milestone: one million subscribers.  To ring in the big 5-0, Smith took his vlogging to a whole new level — specifically, to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.  He packed his wife and three kids into the RV he once drove from Philadelphia to Los Angeles and rolled up the Grand Canyon to confront his fear of heights. As they waited at the edge of the canyon, Smith strapped into a helicopter and prepared for the jump.  When the helicopter got to the middle of the canyon, Smith took a deep breath and let go, diving deep into the canyon.   It's glorious.  The jump reminded some Twitter users of the time a character on the  Fresh

Robert Englund Will Bring Freddy Krueger Back to Life for ‘The Goldbergs’

For the first time in fifteen years, veteran horror actor  Robert Englund  will don the sweater and claws of Freddy Krueger. Englund will reprise the role for a Halloween episode of ABC sitcom  The Goldbergs . No, you’re not dreaming. Old Freddy has come a long way since the extra crispy child-murderer first popped up in  Wes Craven ‘s  A Nightmare on Elm Street  in 1984. Englund reprised the role over seven more movies, finally hanging up the claws for good—or so he said—after the  bonkers  2003 monster-mashup  Freddy vs. Jason . Speaking to  CinemaBlend , the classically trained actor explained his decision to step away from the role: “I’m too old to do another Freddy now. If I do a fight scene now, it’s got to be real minimal because I can’t snap my head for eight different takes and different angles. My spine gets sore. I can still be mean and scary, but I’m mostly relegated now to sort of Van Helsing roles, old doctors and shit. So it’s fun that the last moment of me eve

Kevin Love, DeMar DeRozan say money, fame can’t guarantee happiness

The admissions of mental health struggles have changed the way the NBA looks at its star athletes, now more aware that even those who seem to have it all battle internal wars with depression, anxiety, and many other health complications. DeMar DeRozan was the first to open up about his own issues, then enticing Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love to do so a week later through The Players’ Tribune. Recently, Love opened up further to ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan, detailing the extent of his struggles with depression and anxiety. “My girlfriend, Kate, saw me going down a little bit of a destructive path, and she told me, ‘I love you so much. I really think you need to talk to someone,'” Love admitted. “But I kept telling myself, ‘I don’t need any help. I’m successful. I’ve gotten this far. I’ve got the best friends in the world.’ But the truth was, there was still a lot that made me unhappy.” DeRozan had admitted he had been dealing with depression even before breaking i
