Ricky Gervais will host the ceremony. Streaming services dominated the  Golden Globes nominations , with Netflix leading the way in the film categories. Greta Gerwig , Robert De Niro and “Cats” were notably absent from this year’s  movies nominations . “Watchmen”  and “Game of Thrones” were among some of TV’s biggest  snubs and surprises.
