BURNITUP! Janet Jackson (feat. Missy Elliott) / Presented By Tobias Ellehammer (Watch)

#JanetJackson  #MissyElliott  #TobiasEllehammer #BURNITUP #ThatsHowIBURNITUP #Dance I wanted to create a project that would bring people together and deliver the message of the importance of having a versatile and open mindset. We should really all try to stay versatile and support each other. Let's appreciate how different we all are and grow together.  Learning from each other's gifts and differences. It's not about what style you do. It's about the love for dance that we all share. I wanna give a massive thanks to all the people involved that took time out of their schedules to help deliver the message. The amount of talent in this video is beyond any of my expectations and I feel very honored. Enjoy. Song: Janet Jackson - BURNITUP! (feat. Missy Elliott) Choreography by (in order of appearance):  Rithiely Pereira Theio Maddix Jonathan Bishop Anders Deeno Nielsen Keron Proverbs Leroy Curwood Alex Fetbroth Calvin Francis Josh Wharmby Bly Richar

Martha Wash ‎– Carry On (Audio)

#CarryOn #Housemusic #MarthaWash #RnB #Dance #Sylvester #WeatherGirls Martha Elaine Wash (born December 28, 1953) is a two time Grammy nominated American R&B, pop, soul, and house singer and songwriter with a career spanning over thirty years. Wash began her music career as a backing singer for Sylvester.  With fellow backing singer Izora Rhodes, she was half of Two Tons O' Fun, who would later be renamed The Weather Girls. As such, they were responsible for providing much of the firepower behind several of Sylvester's earliest releases often their voices were mixed so that Sylvester was actually the background singer and Wash's and Rhodes's voices were up front. Later, when the Weather Girls disbanded, Wash continued to lend her vocals to various dance and house music tracks. Several of them became massive pop, R&B, and dance hits. She sang lead vocals on all three of Black Box's U.S. top-forty hits, including the top-ten smashes "Everybody

How a Group of Gay Male Ballet Dancers Is Rethinking Masculinity

#Ballet #Dance #Dancers #Gay #LGBTQ #Masculinity #Queerness These men are finding new stages on which to express their queerness, collapsing gender barriers in the world of dance. 1. The Ballerino When I was 15, I met a dancer from Canada’s  Royal Winnipeg Ballet . The company had come to  Los Angeles  to dance in the  Olympic Arts Festival , and my parents volunteered to host a post-performance dinner in our backyard. I recall about 200 people — family friends, Olympic officials and maybe 25 dancers — eating curry (is that right?) off paper plates.  But that’s not what this is about. No, this is about the ballerino — my word for him — I met and what he represented to a lonely gay kid in Southern California in 1984, a kid who had never before met another gay person.  Earlier that evening, I had seen the dancer turn, leap and smile onstage, expressing through the mute language of ballet who he was. Something about his movement told me he was gay, and I felt he was danci
