After 42 years, the reggae superstar’s attempted assassination remains one of music’s biggest unsolved mysteries. In a new trailer for Netflix’s ReMastered, an investigative documentary team hints at possible answers. ReMastered will dive into eight music mysteries beginning October 12th, with one episode coming to the streaming service each month through May 2019. First up is “Who Shot the Sheriff?”, a close look at the brazen December 1976 attempt on Marley’s life. ‘Dolemite’ Is Set in the 1970s, but It’s Really About Showbiz Today

Five years later, a  Variety  film critic saw Moore’s “Dolemite” and sighed “Dull-emite is a more apt title.” Netflix’s “ Dolemite Is My Name ” covers Moore’s career in those years, and the film is a total winner, yet a mass of contradictions. First, the dialogue features a steady stream of raunch and vulgarities but audiences describe the film as sweet. Second, “For a movie that took 15 years to make, this one happened very fast,” says Larry Karaszewski, who wrote the socko script with Scott Alexander. Third, while Netflix’s film is set in the 1970s, it’s really about today.
