'RuPaul’s Drag Race' winner Yvie Oddly on performing with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and chronic pain: 'I don't know what my time limit is'

#RuPaulsDragRace #YvieOddly #DragQueen #JovanBridges #HypermobileEDS #Ehlers-Danlossyndrometype3 Newly crowned  RuPaul’s Drag Race  queen Yvie Oddly went into Season 11 as an obvious fierce frontrunner, but it wasn’t until she pushed herself too hard and injured her ankle, during the “Draglympics” dance challenge, that viewers found out that she was living with an invisible disability and near-constant pain. The 25-year-old punk-rock drag performer, whose real name is Jovan Bridges, had been battling chronic pain throughout the competition, and throughout her entire life, because of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type 3, or hypermobile EDS (hEDS) — an incurable connective tissue disease that causes hyper-flexibility due to a lack of collagen production, and affects the skin, bones, blood vessels, and many organs. "I don't produce a whole lot of collagen, so I have extra skin everywhere," Yvie explained to  Drag Race  producers, demonstratively stretching the loose sk

'Drag Race' Star Mayhem Miller's Crazy Eyes Meme : See the Best

Watch out, Miss Vanjie: There’s a new meme queen in town. #CrazyEyesMeme  #DragQueen  #MayhemChallenge #MayhemMiller #DragRace  Drag Race season 10 competitor Mayhem Miller has become the latest face of Gay Twitter, with fans posting hilarious captions with an old video of the drag queen performing. The clip, which was filmed in 2011, shows Miller performing “Drama” by Club 69 with an intense stare at West Hollywood staple #Mickey’s. She noticed memes a few days ago: “I started getting tagged, but I didn’t realize how big it was until my nephew called and said he saw a meme of me that had over a million views. Then people started making different versions and I’ve been on the floor ever since,” Miller tells Billboard. Fans have begun tagging the memes #MayhemChallenge. The Drag Race star has been retweeting her favorites across social media and even changed her profile pictures to a still from the video clip. Hollywood Is "Finally Catching On" to the Booming Drag Queen Economy

Movi Inc for World of Wonder #Rupaul #RuPaulsDragRace #AJandtheQueen #DragQueen #DragCon   The massive success of 'RuPaul's Drag Race' has launched dozens of stars and ignited red-carpet appearance deals for films like 'Frozen 2.' Still, for a queen, "your money is on the road." As Angelina Jolie made the usual red carpet rounds at the L.A. premiere of Disney's  Maleficent: Mistress of Evil , she stopped for a picture with stars who didn't appear in the film, even if they looked like they had: drag queens Nina West, Shangela and Ginger Minj, decked out in horns, black dresses and, in Minj's case, an ensemble dedicated to the film's fairies. In recent months, queens were invited to the  Frozen 2  premiere and the  Charlie's Angels  debut, posing with Kristen Stewart, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad. (Reps declined to say how much the queens were paid to appear.) Studios like Disney are the latest entrant to the new drag quee

Let Peppermint and Jiggly Caliente From RuPaul’s Drag Race Take You There With SNL’s ‘GP Yass!’

#JigglyCaliente #Peppermint #SNL #RuPaul'sDragRace #DragQueen This whole time, we’ve been dumping millions into developing automated, self-driving cars, when we really just needed a  RuPaul’s Drag Race  GPS voice to solve society’s most pressing issue: not having a  RuPaul’s Drag Race GPS voice.  In Saturday’s “GPYass!” sketch, former # DragRace  contestants #Peppermint and #JigglyCaliente stopped by to show you the way, though honestly, you should know by now not to speed recklessly and accidentally flatten anyone’s squirrel friends.  Both ladies took to Instagram afterward to thank  Saturday Night Live  for the cameo, but really, the show couldn’t have sissied that school zone without them. Drag Race UK just crowned Britain’s first drag superstar and fans are gagging

#RuPaulsDragRaceUK #DragQueen #TheVivienne #BagaChipz #DivinadeCampo RuPaul's Drag Race UK has chosen The Vivienne as the UK's Next Drag Superstar. The Vivienne was officially picked as the winner of Drag Race UK's debut season in the finale episode on Thursday (November 21), beating runner-up Divina de Campo and third-place finisher Baga Chipz. The Vivienne was previously Drag Race's official UK ambassador before even competing on the BBC version of the show, so winning the series is even more prestigious for her. "I'm made up," she beamed. "I've just won the first-ever season of Drag Race UK! This is nuts! That crown is gonna look gorgeous. You're gonna see me there washing the dishes in it!" The final challenge saw the top three writing lyrics to RuPaul's song 'Rock It (To The Moon)' as well as performing a dance routine choreographed by Strictly's AJ Pritchard and his Love Island star brother Curtis.

Shangela Performed A Beyoncé Medley — In Front Of Beyoncé — And Got A Standing Ovation

#Beyonce, #JayZ #GLAADMediaAwards  #DragQueen #Shangela #ShangelaLaquifaWadley #RuPaulsDragRace Beyoncé and Jay-Z were honored at the GLAAD Media Awards, where they were treated to a special performance from one of America's favorite drag queens. Former Drag Race star Shangela Laquifa Wadley, known to her many fans as simply “Shangela,” performed for  Beyoncé  and Jay-Z at this year’s GLAAD Media Awards on Thursday night, adding to her already banner year. The drag queen, who was the first runner-up on  RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3  and recently appeared in  A Star Is Born , delved into a 7-minute medley of Beyoncé tunes — and she was so good that Queen Bey herself gave her a standing ovation. Shangela's performance was designed to honored the Carters, who were attending the ceremony to  accept the Vanguard Award , which celebrates folks in entertainment who advocate equal rights for LGBT people even though they don’t identify with the community themselves.
