New congresswoman on Trump: "Impeach the motherf*****"

#impeachthemotherf***** #RashidaTlaib #PresidentTrump #congresswoman The newly sworn-in Rep. Rashida Tlaib is not holding back on how she feels about President Trump.  Tlaib, a Democrat from Michigan who is among the first female Muslims to serve in Congress, used profane language to express her hope to impeach Mr. Trump in a reception with supporters hosted by liberal group MoveOn.org.  "And when your son looks at you and says, 'Momma, look you won. Bullies don't win.' And I said, 'Baby, they don't.' Because we're going to go in there, we're going to impeach the motherf*****," Tlaib said, to vigorous cheers from the people around her in the video posted to Twitter by immigration activist Nestor Ruiz. Tlaib, an attorney and former state legislator who is the daughter of Palestinian immigrants, also co-authored authored an op-ed in the Detroit Free Press with the title, "Now is the time to begin impeachment proceedings against Pre

Trump departs for California as wildfire death toll rises

President Trump left Washington, D.C., Saturday morning for California after the death toll from California's Camp Fire climbed to 71 and the number of people unaccounted for jumped to more than 1,000. Mr. Trump is set to visit Northern California, where the destructive Camp Fire is raging. Gov. Jerry Brown and Gov.-elect Gavin Newsom, both Democrats, have welcomed Mr. Trump's visit, declaring it's time "to pull together for the people of California." They will join Mr. Trump on his visit, according to the governor's office, although details of Mr. Trump's itinerary were not released as of Saturday morning. Earlier this week, Mr. Trump threatened to cut off federal payments to California in a post on Twitter. "There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests.

Judge orders White House to return press pass to CNN's Jim Acosta

A federal judge on Friday ruled in favor of #CNN and reporter #JimAcosta in a dispute with #PresidentTrump, ordering the White House to temporarily restore the press credentials that the Trump administration had taken away from Acosta last week. In a victory for the cable network and for press access generally, Judge Timothy J. Kelly granted CNN’s motion for a temporary restraining order that will prevent the administration from keeping Acosta off White House grounds. The White House revoked the reporter’s press pass last week after a heated exchange between him and President Trump and a brief altercation with a press aide at a news conference. Acosta, CNN’s chief White House correspondent, is the first reporter with a so-called hard pass to be banned. CNN sued President Trump and other White House officials on Tuesday over the revocation. Kelly’s ruling was the first legal skirmish in that lawsuit. It has the immediate effect of sending Acosta back to the White House, pending f

Trump: US troops will consider rocks thrown at them at border as 'firearms'

Donald Trump has told the US military, mobilizing at the south-west border, that any rocks thrown by migrants should be considered as firearms.  The US president made the comments on Thursday in a speech on immigration.  He promised an executive order next week that would ban migrants from claiming asylum if they cross the border illegally, and added that he would set up 'tent cities' to hold anyone coming over the border. Trump threatens to close border over "onslaught" of immigrants

President Trump threatened to order the U.S. military to "close" the southern border with Mexico, issuing a salvo of morning tweets that blasted Democrats, Mexico and other Latin American countries over immigration policy. The president made the comments as a caravan of Central American migrants is trying to reach the United States. Mr. Trump said leaders in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador are doing little to stop the large flow of people into the U.S. "In addition to stopping all payments to these countries, which seem to have almost no control over their population, I must, in the strongest of terms, ask Mexico to stop this onslaught - and if unable to do so I will call up the U.S. Military and CLOSE OUR SOUTHERN BORDER,'' he wrote in his tweet.   I will call up the U.S. Military and CLOSE OUR SOUTHERN BORDER,'' he wrote   in his tweet .
