NFL power rankings: Who follows Super Bowl champion Patriots in final poll?

#NFL #PowerRankings #SuperBowl 1. Patriots (7): What's left to say? Definitively the greatest dynasty in NFL history, even on heels of subpar (by their standards) regular season. Now in a race with Pittsburgh to be first seven-time Super Bowl champions. 2. Saints (1):They got shafted. Period. In retrospect (or forespect?), who wouldn't have preferred a New England-New Orleans, Brady-Brees Super Bowl LIII? 3. Chiefs (4): They've also got strong argument for finishing second in final 2018 power rankings poll after taking eventual champs to OT in AFC title game. 4. Rams (3): Great season. But Super Bowl flop, Todd Gurley mystery, Jared Goff's postseason struggles, non-call in New Orleans deservedly knock them down. 5. Chargers (6): Could best Bolts team in recent memory be even better in 2019 with full seasons out of DE Joey Bosa and TE Hunter Henry? 6. Colts (8): GM Chris Ballard has most cap space in NFL (more than $100 million projected) and three of dra...

They won't be loved: Maroon 5 play it safe with dullest halftime show of all time

#Maroon5 # AdamLevine # dullesthalftimeshow  When it was first announced that this year’s Super Bowl halftime performer would be Maroon 5 — a choice so bland, it made 2016’s halftime headliner, Coldplay, seem like GG Allin by comparison — the news was met with a collective yawn. But it wasn’t long before Adam Levine and company found themselves at the center of the biggest halftime show controversy since Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake’s “Nipplegate” scandal 15 years ago. Maroon 5’s decision to play the Super Bowl — at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, one of the American capitals of black music (and specifically hip-hop) — didn’t sit well with some detractors, who saw the move as a snub against ex-San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick (who is currently suing the NFL, claiming team owners conspired to keep him out of the league for protesting police brutality against people of color). Nearly 115,000 people signed an online petition urging Maroon 5 to dro...

Super Bowl 2019 weather: Temperature to warm up in Atlanta prior to weekend for Patriots vs. Rams

#SuperBowlLIII # Atlanta  #Weather If you need any convincing on how important the weather in the host city of the Super Bowl can be, just ask Eagles and Patriots fans who went to Minneapolis last year. With Americans dealing with a polar vortex in the week leading up to this year's big game, anyone heading to Atlanta for Super Bowl LIII will want to be aware of what to expect -- and what to pack. But it's an indoor stadium! Why would the weather matter? Well, for Atlanta got some snow in Atlanta this week, which caused quite a few government buildings to shut down. Luckily, the worst is behind us. Super Bowl  Sunday should be pretty mild weather-wise. It's projected to have a high of 61 degrees and a low of 48 degrees, so fans going to the game may want to layer up a bit since it could get relatively cold. There also may be some rain. It's going to be humid throughout the week, peaking at 74 percent on Sunday. Expect the roof to be closed on Sunday. While 61...
