Just last week, bipartisan legislation was introduced in both the United States Senate and House of Representatives that adds LMFTs as Medicare providers. The Mental Health Access Improvement Act of 2019 (S 286 and HR 945), was introduced by Sen. Barrasso (R-WY), Sen. Stabenow (D-MI), Rep. Thompson (D-CA), and Rep. Katko (R-NY), respectfully.
