Shane Dawson Has Denied Rumours That He Had Sex With His Cat

The YouTube star has defended himself after an old video emerged where he told a story about having sex with his cat.

I never thought I'd have to write this sentence but here goes — YouTube star Shane Dawson has denied the rumor that he had sex with and ejaculated on his cat.

It all started when an old clip from Shane's podcast, Shane and Friends, emerged on Twitter. In the clip, he says: "The things I've done to my poor animals, they will never love me. I've done terrible things."

He then goes on to tell a graphic story about how he apparently dry-humped his cat before he "came all over [it]". You can listen to the clip below.

That particular podcast episode, number 48, has now been removed from all platforms.

People were shocked at the story and, soon enough, the hashtag #ShaneDawsonIsOverParty started trending. In fact, there were more than 200,000 tweets about all the drama.

With seemingly the entire internet talking about it, Shane eventually came forward to defend himself, denying the rumors and calling the story "fake".

I just can't believe someone actually had to start a tweet with "I didn't fuck my cat". 2019 is will.

Shane continued to apologise for his past, saying that he was sorry for not dropping the act and being himself sooner.

Something Shane briefly hinted at in his apology

tweets were past controversies, which also began to circulate alongside the cat story.

These included his comments on trans people, his use of the n-word, and previously doing blackface.

One particular controversy dates back to 2014 when, in another old podcast episode, Shane joked about a "sexy" six-year-old and his "justification for pedophilia" which led to people branding him a pedophile.

You can listen to the full clip here, starting from 6:28 and ending at 9:57.

Shane addressed the comments in a YouTube video last year where he said: "I am not a fucking paedophile."

He continued: "It's disgusting that people are saying I'm a fucking pedophile because of some shitty ass fucking jokes from six years ago on a podcast."

With the controversy picking up steam once more, he recently repromoted that video on his Twitter account.

Following all the drama, Shane was met with both criticism and support. Many of his friends and fans stepped in to defend him, damning the claims that he would ever do anything to harm a person or animal.

Shane Dawson is a genuine, compassionate, generous human being. Trust me, Shane would never harm any animal or person. I’m proud that he is part of my family. We love you and stand by you Shane! 💕💞💗

As someone who has known Shane Dawson for 19years. Who has seen him grow on &off camera. I can guarantee you he does not sexualize or miss treat animals. I’m not saying this for any clout, acceptance &have nothing to gain. It’s the truth. He has a big heart. As big as his talent.

Andrew Siwicki, who works alongside Shane, called him "the most sincere, caring, accepting, down-to-earth person".

.@shanedawson is a popular creator who makes great content. Does the internet think it’s not possible for him to be a good person as well? Because he is the most sincere, caring, accepting, down-to-earth person I’ve ever met. Sorry to ruin some people’s day but it is what it is.

In the tweets, which were liked by friend Jeffree Star, Andrew went on to label the drama as "the greatest display of misplaced energy".

This Shane Twitter stuff is the greatest display of misplaced energy I’ve ever seen. This is not hot tea. This is not warm tea. This is old, recycled, artificial, frozen tea. Really? Out of all the people to try n cancel?? For an old, edgy, throwaway joke? I can’t.

However, others didn't quite feel the same.

BuzzFeed has contacted representatives of Shane Dawson for comment.

Kate Bush, The Dreaming : A Pitchfork Review

#KateBush # WutheringHeights # Lionheart # NeverforEver #TheDreaming In 1982, Kate Bush’s daring and dense fourth album marked her transformation into a fearless experimental artist who was legible, audibly very queer, and very obviously in love with pop music. In 1978, Kate Bush first hit the UK pop charts with “Wuthering Heights” off her romantic, ambitious progressive pop debut The Kick Inside. That same year, her more confident, somewhat disappointing follow-up Lionheart and 1980’s Never for Ever had a grip of charting singles that further grew her UK success without achieving mega-stardom—she barely cracked into American college rock. What is truly amazing between the first chapter of her career and the new one that began with 1982’s The Dreaming is how consistently Bush avoided the musical world around her, preferring to hone and blend her literary, film, and musical inspirations (Elton John, David Bowie, and Pink Floyd) into the idiosyncratic perfection that was 1985’s Ho
