Kimmy is ready to change the world in new Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt trailer

Four seasons, multiple musical parodies, and countless intricate and iconic jokes later, the cast and crew of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt are saying goodbye to Kimmy and her unbreakable optimism (with the exception of a possible movie continuation). The final episodes of the Robert Carlock and Tina Fey-created comedy drop Jan. 25 on Netflix, and first EW has an exclusive look at the latest official trailer — and from the looks of it, there’s plenty more singing and dancing to come!

When we left the gang halfway through season 4, they were happily eating cake – oh, and being spied on by a sinister looking chap. In addition to dealing with that threat, the upcoming episodes see Titus (Tituss Burgess) confront his #MeToo situation (remember Mr. Frumpus?), while Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) seeks to change the world one little boy at a time. “How women have been disadvantaged or treated has always been our topic,” Carlock tells EW. “So, we felt like we have to tell these stories.”

Carlock and Fey knew what they ultimately wanted for Kimmy going into the final run of episodes, but that doesn’t mean bringing the story to a close was easy. “The thing that she has to offer the world is this childlike optimism,” he says of Kimmy who, in the first half of season 4, wrote a children’s book encouraging young boys to become better men. “She can connect to kids, speak their language, and talk about things they get, even if adults don’t. That idea of her finding a way to make the world a better place by getting to kids before society wrecks them is something we’re following through. Its landing place ends up being a success for her, but more importantly for the kids who connect to it.”

Elsewhere, look forward to a real romance for Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) with guest star Zachary Quinto; an hour-long, Sliding Doors-style episode; and perhaps a glimpse of a puppet penis? “Wouldn’t that be something for you and your family to look forward to?” teases Carlock.

The final episodes of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will be available stream starting Jan. 25 on Netflix.

L.A. will rename Rodeo Road as Obama Boulevard in tribute to former president

City Council President Herb Wesson  proposed the name change in June 2017. In his proposal, Wesson  noted that  Obama held a campaign rally at Rancho Cienega Park on Rodeo Road when running for president and that the area already has streets named after presidents, such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. Why Christopher Reeve's ''Superman' Is So Hard to Leave in the Past

#ChristopherReeve #Clarkkent #DCcomics #LoisLane #RichardDonner #Superman Forty years ago, Richard Donner and Christopher Reeve made a Superhero film that directors have been chasing for years, depicting who America was then — or at least who we wished to be Superman. It’s now easy to believe a man can fly. It wasn’t in 1978, but today, in midst of an explosion of superhero movies, it’s a belief we give into with relative ease. Flight is most often the bare minimum of what we expect from heroes and villains who can perform any feat limited only by the human imagination. It’s not simply special effects that permit our belief, but rather an overall acceptance that these costume-clad characters are a defining part of our culture, modern myths at their best and populist cinematic staples akin to the 20th century western at their lowest form. There have been a record nine theatrically released superhero movies based on comic books this year alone, each claiming a major piece of the glo...
